GAZA, (PIC)-- The water authority in the Gaza Strip has warned that it would not be able to pump water for Gaza consumers due to the stoppage of the sole electricity generation station in Gaza.
It said in a statement on Tuesday that the power outage would cripple its ability to pump reasonable amount of water to consumers.
The authority appealed to all government and international parties to find a speedy solution to the power crisis, which would affect vital sectors in the Strip.
For its part, the health ministry warned of the serious repercussions of the power crisis on the health sector, adding in a statement that its hospitals were suffering acute fuel shortage needed to operate small generators.
It asked the world community and human rights groups to urgently provide adequate amounts of fuel to save the life of patients in Gaza hospitals.
