Four political detainees on hunger strike for one week

NABLUS, (PIC)-- Four detainees in the PA jails have been on hunger strike in Nablus jails for the past week demanding their release, relatives said on Sunday.
They said that the four, all from Nablus, have been on hunger strike since Monday and are adamant on continuing in their strike until their release.

The four detainees are protesting their incarceration despite obtaining a court ruling for their release a few months ago.
The sources noted that the intelligence director had issued written directives for their release a few weeks ago but the order was not carried out.

The relatives held the PA in Ramallah responsible for any harm affecting the detainees, who have been in custody since 28/9/2011, as a result of the hunger strike. The relatives questioned media news of the reconciliation while nothing was tangible on the ground.
