RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Popular and human rights activists called for a protest outside Hasharon prison on Sunday to express solidarity with Hana’ al-Shalabi, who has been on hunger strike for the past two weeks to protest her administrative detention.
The organisations calling for the protest said that it will start on the afternoon of Sunday 4 March 2012 stressing on the importance of participation of large numbers to support Shalabi (30 years) and Palestinian captives in occupation jails in general.
They also stated that such activities are to stress the just cause and demands of Palestinian captives for freedom and dignity and to condemn Israeli occupation practices against those captives.
The organisations calling for the activity include, the Captive Issues Follow up Committee, Yusuf Siddiq Institute, Hurreyyat, and Women for Female Captives as well as Rabita.
