Settlers deny Salfit farmers access to their fields

West Bank, (Pal Telegraph)-Dozens of settlers of Nofim settlement  prevented farmers access to their agricultural lands in the area of Khirbat Shehada in Salfit city.
Samih Salman, a Palestinian farmer, said “ a number of farmers were heading to their lands in the area near Nofim settlement as Israeli settlers confronted them and held their ID cards for hours preventing them access to their destination.”
Israeli army attempted to race agricultural lands and uproot trees in that area in order to facilitate the construction of more illegal settlements.
Settlers attack came in the wage of Israeli plans to build four settlement on the territories of the occupied West Bank. The new construction will cause the confiscation of hundreds of Dunums owned by Palestinian citizens that supported most of them as the main source of their income.
Recently, Israeli settlers supported by Israeli army intensified their violations against local farmers in the West Bank, leaving excessive damage with Palestinian properties.
