Sins of Our Fathers : al-Nakba

Victors’ celebrations harbor shadows that lurk in the soul as revelers dance in remembrance, burying in laughter the suffering screams of those displaced and destroyed, furiously hiding   forgotten faces framed in fear from mocking the glorious dance should they be awakened once more by the reverie.

May 14 and 15 are paradoxically days of celebration and catastrophe; victors “dance round in a ring and suppose,” caught in a never ending quest to know if indeed this celebration is for victory or for defeat, while those vanquished understand “the secret that sits in the middle and knows.” Are the secrets Truth that we are afraid to delve into, too ashamed to acknowledge, or fear of a pending Nakba for the victor signaled by a merciful and just God?

As this May day approaches, a Biblical age of three score and four for the state of Israel, only six years short of Biblical death, an appropriate time for reflection about judgment and retribution, about peace and justice lest the sins of the fathers remain the curse of the children. What is the secret that sits in the middle and knows? What is it keeping secret? Who is it, since it is personified and knows?

Menahem Begin, commander of the Irgun at the time, was the architect of the Deir Yassin massacre in 1948. He was also the architect of the 1982 Lebanon war, which culminated in the massacre of Sabra and Shatila. Both memories reverberate among Palestinians and Arabs to this day.

Who are the dancers this May 14? Are they the children of the next generations whose fathers sinned? What do they suppose? What do they suppose the victory remembrance celebrates? Does it celebrate the men, the fathers and husbands and sons that massacred the fathers and husbands and sons at Deir Yassin? Do they meditate on those relatives of the dead who live now in refugee camps in foreign countries who have not been home for 64 years, nor seen the town now transformed into a psychiatric institution, nor visited the graves across the street, tombstones upended and defaced? What minds contemplated the barbarity of Deir Yassin a month and five days before the state of Israel declared its freedom as a democratic country desiring recognition by the nations of the world? What minds could lie to the President of the United States,  even as they laid waste the town and its people, appealing to him to immediately recognize Israel because they would bring peace to Palestine by obeying the Charter and Declaration of Human Rights held sacred by the United Nations?

What personified being knows? Is it the omniscient and just God who heard the voices of the dying mothers and children and the lamentations of the men trucked through the streets of Jerusalem, living proof of Israeli might, mocked and ridiculed as inferior beings before they were returned to their town for execution? What is it about secrets that stir such fear in the hearts of the revelers? Certainly they know the faces of the dead do not die to the mind of the reaper; they live just below the twisted thoughts that gave rise to the slaughter, for why kill if remembrance of that fulfilled savagery is not possible? And isn’t that after all what the Almighty meant when he proclaimed the “sins of the father are visited upon the children”?

On 9 July 2004, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague

ruled as illegal the so- called "separation wall" in the West Bank.

But what if we turn to the ring; what does it represent? Perhaps it’s the Wall that Israel built to hide the enemy they have been unable to cleanse in the manner of Deir Yassin and the other known and unknown massacres recorded by Benny Morris and Ilan Pappe. Perhaps the Wall does not hide the indigenous people as it was supposed to do; that may be what they suppose as they dance round in a ring. Perhaps it rather makes obvious that lives exist beyond that wall, that freedom to move is curtailed for them, that hours can pass attempting to get permission slips to visit Jerusalem, and hours more can pass to travel the seven miles to their former home. Perhaps this is more than just an “inconvenience” as explained by Michael Oren on 60 Minutes, perhaps it’s an intentional and calculated inhuman interference in personal lives that casts as dirty an image on the occupiers as the affront casts on those dispossessed of rights.

How unfortunate that those who dance must have their backs to something or someone they cannot see; how disturbing that must feel since it is the unknown that raises fear and turns it inward corroding the comfort that comes with openness and friendship. What peace of mind exists when one knows that life has been made miserable for people beyond the Wall; what peace blossoms when fear circles behind the back because the government determines the on-going need for greater and greater military power making a police state of a nation inside and outside the Walls built to contain both the body and the soul. What hope evaporates for a future without the shadows that the Wall casts on both those hemmed in and those cut out and life becomes a constant search for unknowns that threaten life and limb even as the very protection the Wall supposes to create destroys friendships with others and isolates each citizen in the sick minds of those who rule the country.

No one chooses to be a refugee

The sins of the fathers began 64 years ago when they swore allegiance to a group of men who had taken control of Palestine from the British Government laying waste both the Arab people and the Mandate government of Britain regardless of agreements made and pledges of cooperation signed between the Mandate authorities and the Jewish Agency. It began with an oath that necessitated selling the soul.

“From the moment an individual takes the oath,** they are committed to a life of secrecy and hence of disloyalty and betrayal to those they are most intimate with in their day to day life. Neither their actions nor their true identity is discernible to those with whom they interact regularly. This is a life that encapsulates the necessity of lies, deceit, coercion, extortion, and obedience to a group that dictates the actions one must pursue; freedom no longer exists, self-direction no longer exists, loyalty to others no longer exists, indeed, friendship with others is compromised or impossible, one becomes the subject of that group, a veritable slave to their desires and wills. The mindset that promotes such control allows for spying, for deception of friends, for ostracism in one’s own community for thinking differently, for imprisonment without due process, for torture, even for extrajudicial executions. It is a total commitment to a cause that supersedes all others determined and dictated by an oligarchy in silence and subject to no legitimate institution and to no one.

“The darkness of the Zionists’ deceit was and is camouflaged by the appearance of civil structures existing within the framework of a legal authority, the Mandatory Government’s accepted agency for the Jewish community in Palestine and, today the presence of lobbies, think tanks, controlled media of communication, and legalization of policies that allow for dual citizenship among others. Fear still operates, fear of the non-friendly, enemy states that surround the friendly, democratic state of Israel promoted as existentially threatening to America’s security, fear for representatives in Congress who dare not confront the desires of AIPAC and its affiliates lest they find themselves bereft of political support and consequently bereft of their position, and fear induced by corporate media that fears offending the power base represented by the lobby.

“Until Israel’s fall 2006 blitzkrieg of Lebanon, when the world had an opportunity to witness the ruthlessness of Israeli Zionist violence unimpeded by concern for helpless civilians fleeing for their lives or orphans unable to take shelter from missiles or children returning home after fearful flight from invading forces only to find toy-like cluster bombs left intentionally to maim or slaughter, the world’s communities felt a sympathy for the offspring of those victimized by the Nazis.

Prior to that destruction wrought by a military of enormous power, the people of the world knew little of what went on in Palestine and knew only that the Jews of Palestine in 1948 and 1967 had to fight against overwhelming odds against Arabs of many nations intent on pushing them into the sea, victims of human violence once again. Then came December 27, 2008, Israel’s Christmas bombing of Gaza, Holiday giving with a vengeance. Once again, the might of Israel’s state of the art military – its air force, navy, army – invaded the defenseless, imprisoned, physically destitute residents of Gaza. Once again, the world witnessed the ruthlessness of Israel’s Zionist intent to subjugate, humiliate, and obliterate the indigenous people of Palestine. Now the world knows the truth: the Zionist Consultancy that ruled the Jewish people in Palestine in 1930s and 1940s, like their counterparts in the Israeli government of Ehud Olmert in December of 2008 and January of 2009, intended to expel the people of Palestine from their land and had the military means to do it against an anemic enemy incapable of defending the people.

“There is an unraveling of the lies of omission that have quilted the truth these many years. As each square rots in the sun now shed on it, the plight of the people of Palestine becomes more and more apparent. Benny Morris revealed in June of 2009 that “there were far more acts of massacre than I had previously thought (with the new documents made available) … and many cases of rape … and (between April-May 1948) units of Haganah were given operational orders that stated explicitly that they were to uproot the villagers, expel them and destroy the villages themselves.” He continued in response to the interviewer’s questions: “Because neither the victims nor the rapists liked to report these events, we have to assume that the dozen cases of rape that were reported … are not the whole story. They are just the tip of the iceberg.”; “The worst cases (of massacre) were Saliha (70-80 killed, Deir Yassin (100-110), Lod (250), Dawayima (hundreds) and perhaps Abu Shusha (70); Ben Gurion “covered up for the officers who did the massacres.”; “Yes … the commander of the Northern Front, Moshe Carmel, issued an order in writing to his units to expedite the removal of the Arab population.”; “From April 1948, Ben-Gurion is projecting a message of transfer. .. The entire leadership understands that this is the idea.”; and quoting Morris himself, “Without the uprooting of the Palestinians, a Jewish state would not have arisen here.”

“In The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, Ilan Pappe states: “The Zionist project could only be realized through the creation in Palestine of a purely Jewish state, both as a safe haven for Jews from persecution and a cradle for a new Jewish nationalism. And such a state had to be exclusively Jewish not only in its socio-political structure but also in its ethnic composition.” Pappe’s accounting of the ethnic cleansing is not pleasant reading. It is a detailed presentation of calculated ruthlessness. Considered alongside Walid Khalidi’s All That Remains, it provides the reader with a visual context that forces consideration of the mothers and fathers and children who once lived and worked and played and prayed in the 418 villages destroyed. It is that human element that can give meaning to “Never Again.””[1](Introduction The Plight of the Palestinians, section “Selling the Soul). Such is the sorrowful tale of the sins of the father.

The Huriyeh Doctrine: 10 Principles of Solidarity

1. The name of the land between the Jordan River and Mediterranean Sea is Palestine. Only Palestine. Never will the Zionist entity occupying Palestine be recognized under any circumstances. Because it is a fabricated regime, “Israel” will always be referred to in quotation marks to affirm its lack of legitimacy and our commitment to categorically denying its equally fabricated “right to exist.” No to normalization, no to recognition, no to Zionism.

2. Every “Israeli” is an illegal settler. Every. Single. One. Thus, all persons identifying themselves as “Israelis” must leave Palestine immediately to make way for the 8 million ethnically cleansed Palestinian refugees all over the globe who want to exercise their universally-recognized Right of Return. Additionally, the word “Israeli” is synonymous with the following: murderer, killer, thief, uprooter, usurper, rapist, occupier, colonist, settler, fanatic, supremacist, terrorist, criminal, butcher, massacrer, chauvinist and racist. Never again will a Palestinian be told by an “Israeli” to leave his or her ancestral home. Never again will “Israelis” have a death grip on the land of Palestine.

3. As the indigenous people of the land, Palestinians have the sovereign right to choose what kind of society that they wish to live in, what kind of government that they wish to place in power and what kind of future that they want to build for future Palestinian generations. As the indigenous people of the land, they and they alone have the sovereign right to decide who is allowed entry into their land and who will be denied entry into their land. As the indigenous people of the land, they have the sovereign right to resist any act of aggression by any means that they deem necessary. Anyone who suggests that the Palestinians do not have these rights is irrelevant, an enemy or both.

4. Until the Zionist entity ceases to exist and Palestine is restored from the River to the Sea, it must be boycotted, divested from and sanctioned. No to “Israeli” companies, which are occupation profiteers and exploiters of Palestinian natural resources, no to “Israeli” products, which are made from those stolen natural resources, no to any artist, actor, author or musician who traveled to “Israel” and attempted to normalize with it and no to any and all companies headed by Zionists who serve as fifth columns for the usurping terrorist regime.

5. To uphold principles one, two and three, we vow to be steadfast and intrepid in unforgivingly exposing the driving force behind 100 years of Zionist colonization and 64 years of Zionist occupation in Palestine, al-Nakba, al-Naksa, the 22-year occupation of Southern Lebanon, the ongoing 44-year illegal occupation of Syria’s al-Jaulan (The Golan Heights), a plethora of the most bestial massacres known to man and countless other crimes: Jewish supremacism and its guiding books, the genocidal Old Testament, supremacist Talmud and satanic Kabbalah, as well as its guiding maniacal rabbis, the monstrous architects of the ideology; specifically those from the gangster cult of Chabad Lubavitch, who have already been successful in implementing Talmudic law in the United States. We vow to be vigilant in our pursuit of exposing these hideous truths so that what was done to Palestine is never repeated with any other nation or people ever again in history.

6. With the full blessing of their genocidal rabbis, and for the sole cause of Zionist domination of the world, Jewish supremacists have set up tribal networks and lobbying institutions of unchecked power that span the entire planet. These bulwarks of international Zionism have been integral in protecting the usurping Zionist entity from criticism on the global stage, silencing opponents of Zionist hegemony and securing funding for the ethnic cleansing project in Palestine from Western governments. Along with “Israel” itself, these networks and institutions must be dismantled and never allowed to reassemble for the sake of preserving humanity from all-out catastrophe. We vow to fight these Jewish supremacist manifestations with truth and expose their insidious plots so thoroughly and brightly that even the blind will see.  

7. The Jewish-Zionist World Power Matrix, meaning the lobbies, networks and think tanks run by Jews of the supremacist extraction and their collaborationist Gentile lackeys, have been successful in misleading the world into supporting the so-called “War on Terror,” which is really a war on Islam, Muslims and Resistance to Zionist superintendence. It is an invention of Zionism; it is psychological warfare designed by Zionist warmongers and fearmongers to dehumanize the enemies of “Israel” and infect the world with hatred for Islam, which, according to racist, poisonous and highly-revered rabbinical 'sage' Maimonides, “is the cruelest and most implacable enemy that the Jewish people have faced in their entire history.” This Jewish supremacist desire to destroy Islam is given enormous support by the media, which is owned and run by Zionists, Hollywood, which is owned and run by Zionists and the international banking system, which is also controlled by Zionists, chiefly the demonic Rothschild family, the godfathers of “Israel.” The newest narrative of these same Zionist war-makers is the “humanitarian intervention,” which is already integrated with and swiftly replacing the “War on Terror.” We vow to expose this Matrix in its entirety, no matter how cringe-worthy the details may be; we vow to expose it and take it down.

8. As the great revolutionary Malcolm X once said, “The media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent.” The Zionist media has been the most important organ of the Jewish-Zionist World Power Matrix in its quest for “Jewish Utopia.” The Zionist media is an organ of liars and propagandists, hasbaraniks and disinformers, bigots, fools and agents. It has helped dehumanize the people of occupied Palestine, as well as other victims of Zionist-engineered aggression, including but not limited to Lebanon, Iraq, Pakistan, occupied Afghanistan, occupied Somalia, Libya and Yemen, and it has deliberately blotted out the plight of the people of occupied Kashmir.

Nothing that emanates from the Zionist media can be trusted; nothing. We reject its credibility entirely. We reject its “history” entirely. We reject its narratives entirely. We recognize that there is overwhelming evidence that “Israel” murdered United States President John F. Kennedy, as well as his brother, Robert F. Kennedy. We demand the exposure of the “Israeli” assault on the USS Liberty during al-Naksa. We recognize that the attacks of September 11th in New York City, July 7th in London, November 26th in Mumbai and hundreds of other attacks wrongfully blamed on Muslims were false flag operations executed primarily by the Zionist entity’s Mossad, whose motto is, “By the way of deception, thou shalt wage war.” These truths are fundamental to fighting for the full liberation of Palestine and understanding the true nature of the Zionist threat devouring everything that we hold dear. 9. We declare that the Huriyeh of Palestine is incomplete without the Azadi of Kashmir. For over 150 years, Kashmiris have been suffering under a system of colonial oppression and for the last 65 years, they have been militarily occupied by 750,000 Indian forces, making Kashmir the longest-running occupation and most militarized zone on earth. The Zionist media has been key in making sure that Kashmir vanished from the global psyche and it has been done because “Israel” has been assisting India with the brutal occupation of Kashmir from genesis, providing arms, funds, training and diplomatic support. The governing ideology behind the Indian occupation of Kashmir is Hindutva, a mirror image of Zionism. The force behind Hindutva is Hindu supremacism, a first cousin of Jewish supremacism. The Hindutvadi regime is the Zionist entity’s closest ally and trade between the two occupations is at an all-time high: $14 billion, $9 billion of it coming from “defense.” Hindutva’s bloody fingerprints are all over Palestine and Zionism’s bloody fingerprints are all over Kashmir.

Until Kashmir is granted its Azadi from savage Hindutvadi occupation, from one end of the Vale to the other, we demand that India be boycotted, divested from and sanctioned. No to Indian products. No to Indian companies. No to any artist, actor, author or musician who traveled to India and attempted to whitewash Hindutva’s crimes in Kashmir. No, no, no to Bollywood and its delusions. And no to any company headed by Hindutvadis, who like their Zionist brethren, serve as fifth columns for the cruel Indian occupation. End Hindutva, end Zionism. Full liberation for Palestine, full liberation for Kashmir. Huriyeh! Azadi! Now!

10.  The primacy of Jewish suffering and the notion of perennial Jewish victimhood are grossly distorted on the historical level and at their very core, are myths that have been used by Zionists to shackle humanity with guilt, browbeating it into supporting any and every crime committed by the Jewish supremacist entity and its vast criminal network of sayanim. We reject these myths unconditionally. The holocaust religion, which is the propaganda apex of these myths, is a dangerous belief system that Zionist domineers force upon Jewish and Gentile children through their media and Hollywood apparatuses, making them indifferent to the suffering of everybody else on earth but Jews, especially those innocents who have been wronged, massacred, invaded and brutalized by “Israel,” directly or by proxy. We reject the holocaust religion and the Zionist propaganda that has propped it up for decades. We reject the Jewish supremacist construct of “chosen-ness.” We recognize the suffering of all strands of humanity at the hands of these wicked supremacists and we recognize the rights of humanity to fight back against them and bring about a better, just and peaceful world. 

 Any soul who adheres to these principles is a true friend of Palestine and a true friend of the oppressed. Who will take a stand and join the Guardians of Dignity in the struggle to liberate Palestine and the Solidarity Movement from the clutches of Zionist subversives? Those who do will have their names etched in the halls of champions and warriors when our righteous struggle comes to an end. Those who don’t will slip deeper and deeper into servitude to the sensitivities of Jewish supremacists like Uri Avnery, whether they know it or not. They will be crippled into invalidity by the apprehension of “anti-Semitism.” For our Revolution to take flight, our wings of Resistance must be unbreakable. I am ready to resist; I am ready to fly for Palestine, Kashmir and the oppressed of the north, south, east and west. In fact, alhamdulillah, I already am. The question is... are you?

UNRWA deletes 169,000 Palestinian refugees from its records

The organisation for Palestinian refugees and their right of return, Thabet, has expressed grave concern that the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has deleted 169,000 refugees from its records for 2011. Thabet condemned the move. In a statement sent to Quds Press, the organisation explained that the statistics at the beginning of 2011 noted the details of 4,797,724 registered refugees, whereas the records for 2010 had included 4,966,664. The details of 168,940 registered refugees are missing. Thabet said, "The names of 19,219 refugees from Lebanon, 9,024 refugees from Syria, 19,886 refugees from Jordan, 211 refugees from Gaza and 121,023 refugees from the West Bank have been removed."

The organisation described this as "a strange phenomenon occurring for the first time since UNRWA was founded in 1949, as the agency has had a census of refugees every year since 1951." The statistics have always referred to the growing number of refugees who get registered every year in its five areas of operation (Lebanon, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan and Syria), said Thabet. "There has never been a time when we've witnessed a decline in the number of registered refugees."

This is "dangerous", claimed Thabet, and questioned the reasons and timing of this change: "What has happened to those thousands of 'missing' refugees?" It has demanded that UNRWA clarifies this matter and justifies it's publication of the data. It also called for urgent action to uncover the background to this unprecedented reduction and the implications for Palestinian refugees and their right of return".
