An Alliance of Deceit – Christian Zionists and Religious Israelis

Two Christian writers, Tom Horn and Cris Putnam, quote me and my writing partner of the ’90s, Joel Bainerman in their book, Petrus Romanus. One conclusion of the book, and read this carefully because Christian Zionists have accepted it as fact:

Even the late Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri (a popular kabbalist, who died in 2006 prompting three hundred thousand people to march in his funeral procession) came to this truth. In what can only be described as a bizarre twist of fate, he left a sealed message with strict orders for it to be opened one year after his funeral. That message named Yeshua as the Messiah and said He would return shortly after Ariel Sharon dies. Sharon is alive but has been preserved in a permanent vegetative state since suffering a stroke in January of 2006. Whether this comes to pass or not, more and more Jews are beginning to acknowledge that Jesus must be the Messiah for the Torah to hold true.

In fact, Jews are not acknowledging Jesus “more and more” and a war of deceit rages. The Christians try to convert Jews, and the Jews do not reciprocate in kind. But religious Jews, pro-settlers and settlers, are so desperate for allies in a world that has abandoned them, that they play the game. They hate and resent Christian proselytizing but knowing their intentions, they put up with it, in no small part, because they believe that more Christian missionaries come to accept Judaism than the opposite. I don’t have the numbers but they may have a point. I think of my Texas Noahide archaeologist ally, Vendyll Jones, who sought artifacts like red heifers, to prove a biblical point.

Last time I saw his daughter she was an orthodox settler living in the “settlement” of Mitzpeh Yericho. Let’s proceed with my involvement. During the nineties, Bainerman and I had a great source in Yehoshua Meiri. In fact, he supplied us with the secret and criminal negotiations between Yossi Beilin, Shimon Peres and the PLO which led to a major article in the National Review, called The Peres Gambit. Our claims have never been disputed. Back then Yehoshua was a Cairo correspondent for Maariv and the Israel Broadcast Authority.

He was truly a deep inside source and a secular one. I don’t know how it happened, but he became religious and the closest advisor of Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri. More than half a decade ago, a rumor started floating that Rabbi Kaduri had left a parting note accepting Jesus as the messiah. I called Yehoshua, a very laid back guy, who in his angry way, answered my questions with a simple, “shtuyot” or nonsense. It turns out that the sources of the Kaduri rumor, apparently, were Tom Horn and Cris Putnam, Recently, I had Cris Putnam on my radio show. At the very end of the broadcast, I brought up Meiri’s reaction and offered to do a show with Meiri and Putnam to clear up to the rumors. Cris replied by e-mail: Cris Putnam wrote:

The story was widely carried, his adviser might be furious but I think that is why Rabbi Kaduri asked that the message not be opened until a year after his death, he knew many would react in anger. Here is the note:

I read the short note. It hinted at greeting the first Jewish messiah, certainly not Jesus. I wrote an angry note to Chris: “You don’t read Hebrew at all. What you sent me is NOT the translation you provided in your article. You depended on a mistranslation as proof of something???”
Cris replied:

Actually I do read biblical Hebrew — that was an online image of the with someone else’s text to the side. It was not a translation. The point of that was to show the acrostic as shown in the red. A translation would read something like “Concerning the abbreviation of the Messiah’s name. He will raise the people and prove that his word and law are standing. This I have signed in the month of mercy. Yitzhak Kaduri.”

I replied: I pretty well read the same thing. And THAT cryptic message turned into Christ will arrive when Sharon dies?????

This led to an explanation which simply was a slap in the face of logical theory:

Yes there were two hints: 1) the Sharon bit and 2) the name as an acrostic. The Sharon part was not from the note, rather: A few months before Kaduri died at the age of 108, he surprised his followers when he told them that he met the Messiah. Kaduri gave a message in his synagogue on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, teaching how to recognize the Messiah. He also mentioned that the Messiah would appear to Israel after Ariel Sharon s death. (The former prime minister is still in a coma after suffering a massive stroke more than a year ago.) The acrostic is formed from the sentence: ” ” (translated as “he will raise the people and confirm that his word and law are standing”), which you can see by acrostic, suggested the name “Yehoshua.”

I wrote back that I’d arrange an interview with Cris and Yehoshua to talk about Rabbi Kuduri’s parting note. Cris wanted none of facing the objective truth. He answered with nothing to do with the issue of Kaduri’s real, truthful, and accurate note, as properly defended by his last and closest advisor. Instead, off we travel to lala land: The angry reaction is understandable but the book of Daniel clear taught the Messiah would come and be “cut off” before the temple was destroyed which happened in AD 70. And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing.

And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.(Da 9:26) Yeshua is the only viable candidate or you ust conclude Daniel was mistaken. Catholicism does not represent the Messiah Yeshua. Unfortunately the enemy has created a gigantic diversion that keeps many from realizing that the Messiah has come. Many Jews are beginning to come around as the prophet Zechariah wrote of the day when Jerusalem will look upon “Him who they pierced” (Zech 12:10) and mourn. That day cannot be far off.

Delving deeper into lala conclusions, Cris found even more “proofs” of Rabbi Kaduri’s “conversion”:

A snippet from the Israel Today website: Israel Today was given access to many of the rabbi’s manuscripts, written in his own hand for the exclusive use of his students. Most striking were the cross-like symbols painted by Kaduri all over the pages. In the Jewish tradition, one does not use crosses. In fact, even the use of a plus sign is discouraged because it might be mistaken for a cross.

On he went with his otherworldly thesis:

But there they were, scribbled in the rabbi’s own hand. When we asked what those symbols meant, Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri said they were signs of the angel. Pressed further about the meaning of the signs of the angel, he said he had no idea. Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri went on to explain that only his father had had a spiritual relationship with God and had met the Messiah in his dreams.

In short, Putnam and Horn created a baloney stew of totally unrelated “facts” and have besmirched the reputation of Rabbi Kaduri. This alliance of Jews and Christians is handy but skating on very thin ice. If it’s to work, we’d better learn to respect each other and cut out this obvious circle of deception. Still, Horn and Putnam get the geopolitical issues right, without their ulterior motives. From Petrus Romanus: An Israeli journalist, Barry Chamish, has been working fearlessly for over two decades to expose a conspiracy which includes the current President of Israel, Shimon Peres, and his aid, Yossi Beilin. In his 2000 book, Save Israel, Chamish wrote:

In March 1994, the newspaper Shishi revealed a most remarkable secret of the Middle East peace process. A friend of Shimon Peres, the French intellectual Marek Halter, claimed in an interview that in May 1993, he delivered a letter from Peres to the pope. Within, Peres promised to internationalize Jerusalem, granting the UN political control of the Old City of Jerusalem, and the Vatican hegemony of the holy sites within. The UN would give the PLO a capital within its new territory and East Jerusalem would become a kind of free trade zone of world diplomacy. Halter’s claim was backed by the Italian newspaper La Stampa, which added that Arafat was apprised of the agreement and it was included in the secret clauses of the Declaration of Principles signed in Washington in September 1993.

I have one heck of an immigration problem. Unless I obtain a green card, I will be cut off from all financial resources in America…and I’ll be forced to return to Canada. I tried Canada, accidentally, seven years ago. I tried, oh how I tried, but it wasn’t for me and it showed in my writing, which turned flat. I’m better for you and me where I am, in Florida. Or I can apply as a talent America would welcome, requiring me to write a 100 page book proving my worthiness, and paying $3000 to start the process.

I can’t afford to drown in bureaucracy and unless I’m rescued, I’ll be forced to move from the US. I need help but not charity. I have a terrific book, 1971 that was this week, turned into a screenplay which will shortly be marketed. I will divide 50% of my rights to the screenplay, to anyone(s) who can come up with a way to stay in the US. Here is the proposed letter to prospective producers and agents:

I am an experienced and not unsuccessful author with a funny screenplay to offer you. Many years ago I wrote a novel called 1971. It tells the story of a group of youths living in the last year of the hippies. Chamish became the five time Israeli Scrabble champion which led to this period’s triumph, a featured article in The Atlantic in 1987 entertainingly detailing the subtleties of the game. The article is credited by many involved in the game for greatly increasing sophisticated understanding of Scrabble.

Current career – Chamish’s writing took a shocking turn in his 1992 book, The Fall Of Israel. (Canongate Books, Edinburgh, Scotland). Chamish continued his gift of making frustration entertaining as he detailed the deep financial and political corruption of Israel. The book changed Chamish’s career. It was reviewed throughout the British media, in fact The Economist gave it its lead review, and Chamish appeared on the Israeli national media beginning with the country’s most popular show, Dan Shilon Live. However, he topped the attention dramatically in 1997, when his lecture about the Rabin assassination at Hebrew University was sabotaged by Israel’s Secret Service (Shabak) with a highly publicized riot against his work. Chamish handled a hostile media cleverly and he made allies within it. When his book Who Murdered Yitzhak Rabin was published a year later in Hebrew, it rose to the top of the Israeli bestseller lists. The success was greatly aided by Knesset Member Ophir Pines Paz banning the book’s sale at Israeli bookstores. The book is considered a classic in “conspiracy” literature as Chamish proves how Rabin was really murdered, and by whom, with a skilled gathering of evidence and a lawyer’s gift of persuasion. Who Murdered Yitzhak Rabin was soon translated to seven languages and succeeded by all polls, ie Maariv 2000, to have persuaded over half of religious Israelis and a third of secular that he was right and the government was lying about the assassination.

UFOs and Rabin – Always looking for a marketing niche, Chamish investigated the huge Israeli UFO wave of 1987-99. Using the same skills that made the Rabin book believable, or at least controversial in intelligent circles, Chamish gathered corroborating testimonies, physical evidence, photos and videotapes to create a most intriguing book called Return Of The Giants. His work became the basis of five episodes of the popular American program Sightings, while Fox TV broadcast a half hour of Chamish’s work prime time. He now had two separate audiences who wanted to hear him in person, Jewish/Christian for Rabin, and New Age/unaffiliated for Giants. Chamish refused to give his Giants lecture in Israel, believing it would interfere with his Rabin study. Nonetheless, he was invited to present his Rabin lecture in Hebrew over 300 times in Israel, while the Rabin/Giants combination sent him lecturing worldwide, including in Australia, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico, England and Italy.

Today – Hurt that the coverup of Rabin’s murder was more powerful than his obvious evidence, Chamish went looking for the reason Israel was run by a most unpleasant oligarchy. He has published numerous political books since 2000 including Save Israel; Israel Betrayed; Shabtai Tzvi, Labor Zionism And The Holocaust; The Last Days Of Israel; Bye Bye Gaza; and THE conPROMISED LAND. Jesus was not a Jew

Jesus was a 'Judean', not a Jew.

During His lifetime, no persons were described as "Jews" anywhere. That fact is supported by theology, history and science. When Jesus was in Judea, it was not the "homeland" of the ancestors of those who today style themselves "Jews". Their ancestors never set a foot in Judea. They existed at that time in Asia, their "homeland", and were known as Khazars. In none of the manuscripts of the original Old or New Testament was Jesus described or referred to as a "Jew". The term originated in the late eighteenth century as an abbreviation of the term Judean and refers to a resident of Judea without regard to race or religion, just as the term "Texan" signifies a person living in Texas.

In spite of the powerful propaganda effort of the so-called "Jews", they have been unable to prove in recorded history that there is one record, prior to that period, of a race religion or nationality, referred to as "Jew". The religious sect in Judea, in the time of Jesus, to which self-styled "Jews" today refer to as "Jews", were known as "Pharisees". "Judaism" today and "Pharisaism" in the time of Jesus are the same.

Jesus abhorred and denounced "Pharisaism"; hence the words, "Woe unto you Scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites, Ye Serpents, Ye Generation of Vipers".
So if modern day so-called Jews are not the Jews of the Bible, who are they? When asked, "Who is Israel? - Who is a Jew?" the Israeli Government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) unhesitatingly answered:

"The term Israelite is purely Biblical. An Israeli is a citizen of Israel, regardless of religion. A Jew is a person anywhere in the world born to a Jewish mother, or converted to Judaism, who is thus identified as a member of the Jewish people and religion" (Information Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jerusalem; February, 1998).

The Jewish Almanac concurs: "Strictly speaking, it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a "Jew." Or to call a contemporary Jew [an] "Israelite," or a "Hebrew." The first Hebrews were not have been Jews at all, and contemporary Palestinians, by their own definition of the term "Palestinian," have to include Jews among their own people" (The Jewish Almanac, October, 1980, page 3, Bantam Books, Inc)

The genetic ancestry of Jews is about 80 to 90% Ashkenazi Jews, converted around 780 AD from Khazar, just above the Black Sea, about 800 miles from the fabricated regime of “Israel”. They converted and are not Semites. The actual Semite genes are as the same tribe as the Palestinians. Read Shlomo Sand “The Invention of the Jewish People” and "The Invention of the Land of Israel: From Holy Land to Homeland" Shlomo Sand is a Jewish, Israeli professor of history at the University of Tel Aviv. Both books were number one best sellers in the fabricated regime of "Israel".

Many denominational Christians and even church leaders are under the mistaken belief that Jesus was a Jew. But nothing could be further from the truth.

Judea and Galilee were two separate states and political entities, as illustrated on the map of Palestine in the time of our Saviour in your Bible. Jesus Himself was not a Jew (Judean) or resident of Judea, He was a Galilean or resident of Galilee (Matthew 26:69; John 7:41), and a Judahite or descendent of the Tribe of Judah. The Judeans of prominence were not of the Tribe of Judah, but of Edomites. Pilate was being ironic when he wrote the sign "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Judeans" for the Cross (John 19:19). That is, "the Galilean who was King of the Judeans," as in "Queen Victoria of England, Empress of India." Jesus grew up in Nazareth in Galilee. His disciples were fishermen from the Sea of Galilee. And although He visited Jerusalem, he spent most of His life in his home country of Galilee. John 7:1, "After this Jesus stayed in Galilee; for He could not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him." His followers were constrained "for fear of the Jews" (John 7:13, 19:38, 20:19).

Why was this?

Psalm 83:3 says God's elect are "hidden" or protected ones, and that they are under attack from a coalition of evil groups led by Edom. Who was Edom?

Esau, the brother of the patriarch Jacob, became the ancestor of the people called Edom, or Idumea. The Antiquities of the Jews by Flavius Josephus, XIII ix 1; XV vii 9 instructs us: John Hyrcanus forcibly assimilated the Edomites as a national group and they became "Jews" in about 120BC. The Jewish historian Josephus, who lived just after the time of Christ, wrote, "They [Edom] were hereafter no other than Jews'. The Jewish scholar Cecil Roth in his Concise Jewish Encyclopedia (1980) says on page 154, "John Hyrcanus forcibly converted [Edom] to Judaism. From then on they were part of the Jewish people. In the Talmud the name of Edom was applied to Christian Rome, and was then used for Christianity in general".

Terrible judgements against Edom are made in most of the prophecies of the Old Testament. For instance, Isaiah 34, 63, Jeremiah 49, and the entire book of Obadiah.

Isaiah 63:1-6, "Who is this coming from Edom . . . in garments stained with crimson? It is I [the Lord] who speak in righteousness and am mighty to save."

"Why are your garments red, as if you had trodden the winepress?"

"I have trodden the winepress alone: and of the people there was none to help Me. In My anger I trod them down, trampled them in My wrath. Their blood splattered My garments, and all My clothes are stained. For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come. . . I will tread down the people in My anger, and bring their blood upon the ground".

These verses refer to Revelations chapter 19:11-21, when the Word of God destroys His enemies: "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse: and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True. . . His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, and He had a Name written that no man knew but Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, and His Name is called The Word of God. . . and He trod the winepress of God’s fierce anger".

Jehovah of the Old Testament "hated Esau (Edom), against whom He has indignation forever"  (Malachi 1:2-4). If Jesus will destroy Edom when He returns, then Edom is present today, and obviously evil, anti-Christian, and anti-Semitic.

The Edomite, Antipater, became the Procurator of Judea in 47BC. Ten years later his son Herod actually became "king of the Jews," initiating the Edomite dynasty which ruled Palestine under Roman authority for over a hundred years. The Edomite assimilation opened the way for the virtual takeover along the lines predicted by Ezekiel and stimulus for an influx of population from the arid country of Edom into the more hospitable environment of Judea, an influx obviously encouraged for political reasons by the ruling Herodian dynasty. Edomites would have been appointed to the most influential positions, in order to extend and consolidate Edomite authority over the land and its people. Herod became notorious for his massacre of infant boys two years old and undger," a supernaturally inspired attempt on the life of Christ (Matthew 2:16). Herod's son Herod Antipas, continuing the work, and was responsible for the gruesome murder of John the Baptist (Matthew 14:6-12).

Christ demonstrated a very real antipathy towards the people called Jews, in Bibles published after about 1776, but who would be more accurately described as Judeans, or residents of the Edomite-dominated territory of Judea. Jesus said to the Jews "You do not believe because you are not of My sheep" (John 10:24-27). "I was only sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel" (Matthew 15:24). In fact, Christ referred to "those Jews (or residents of Judea regardless of religion, race or color) who believed on him," as "of their father the devil" for although they were children of Abraham, they were not children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and heirs of the blessing of Abraham, nor did they have the faith of Abraham, and were in all probability descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Esau (John 8: 31,44). In contrast, Jesus instructed His disciples - who were from Galilee of the Gentiles, not Judea (Acts 1:11; 2:7) - to pray to And in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9, Jesus speaks of "those who say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan".

The Jews shouted "Crucify Him!" (John 19:15); "His blood be on us and on our children" (Matthew 27:25). In an appropriate turn about, when Jesus returns, their blood will stain His own garments. The spiritual leaders of the Jews were the Pharisees, who not surprisingly were associated with the (Edomite) Herodians (Matthew 22:15-16; Mark 3:6; 12:13). Jesus repeatedly condemned the Pharisees as "hypocrites" (Matthew 15:7; 22:18; 23:13,15,23,25,27-27). He also called them "serpents, the offspring of vipers" (Matthew 3:7; 12:34; 23:33).

"Jesus spoke to the crowds only in parables" (Matthew 13:10-17). Why was this? Many nominal churches and Sunday schools teach that Jesus used parables to make His teachings clearer. But all four Gospels say the opposite. When Jesus was asked why He spoke to them in parables, He replied "Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given" (Matthew 13:10-11; Mark 4:11-12; Luke 8:9-10; John 12:37-44). Brother Branham simply said, Jesus spoke in parables to thin down the crowds.

Jesus told "those Jews who believed in Him . . . You are of your father the devil, and lust for what is forbidden. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him . . . as he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:31-44). This characteristic is confirmed by the dictionary definition of the verb jew .

But do Jews ever come up with such brazenly audacious lies, lies so enormous in scope and implication as to qualify as "chutzpah," so admired by Jews?

War against Christianity and Islam

The neo-conservative/Christian evangelical political alliance in the United States is fond of using the term “Judeo-Christian” to describe the political philosophic underpinnings of the United States.

However, as churches in Israel, Palestine, Russia, and Europe, as well as mosques throughout the world come under attack by arsonists, graffiti artists, and vandals, it is important to point out that it is the Christo-Islamic tenets that are under attack by Israel and those who serve Israel’s interests.

Israeli right-wing Orthodox Jewish settlers have exacted what is called “price tag” vengeance against Christians and Muslims in the Holy Land by attacking churches and mosques. The radical Jews claim that Christian and Muslim places of worship will continue to be vandalized as a “price tag” for attempts to bring about a fully-recognized Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza. The settlers and many members of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government are in lock-step with the settlers who want to see the West Bank fully incorporated into Israel as “Judea and Samaria,” with the Arab population of Muslims and Christians expelled.

The latest vandalism by Jews against a church involved the stoning attack of the St. George Romanian Orthodox Church in Jerusalem. The attack on the church came as Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean was visiting Israel. Netanyahu raised suspicions about his involvement with the church attacks by refusing to meet with the Romanian foreign minister and personally apologize for the Jewish attack on the Romanian church.

A week prior to the attack on the Romanian church, Jewish vandals spray painted “Jesus son of a whore” and “price tag” on the Roman Catholic Franciscan Order convent adjacent to the Dormition Abbey on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. And the previous month, Jewish vandals struck again, spray painting “Jesus is a monkey” on the walls of the Trappist monastery in Latrun and trying to set fire to the monastery’s door. Last February, Jewish vandals painted “Death to Christians” and “We will crucify you” in Hebrew on a Baptist church in Jerusalem.

The attacks on the churches follow years of Orthodox Jews in east Jerusalem spitting on Christian clergymen on the streets. A number of mosques were vandalized by Jewish occupiers in the West Bank.

When fifteen American church leaders representing the Methodist, Lutheran, United Church of Christ, the National Council of Churches, and other churches sent a letter to the US Congress calling for the United States to reexamine US military aid to Israel, the Israeli Lobby erupted in anger. Among the Israeli chorus condemning the Christian leaders were the American Jewish Committee, the Rabbinical Assembly, and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. These Jewish lobbying groups were either silent or sheepishly condemnatory over the Jewish attacks on Christian churches in Israel and the occupied territories.

Reverend Pierbattista Pizzaballa, a Vatican official in the Holy Land, likened the attacks on the churches to the release of the “Innocence of Muslims” movie trailer on YouTube. The film blasphemously portrays Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). It is clear that the Zionist game plan is to launch attacks on Christians and Muslims. Typical of Zionist tactics, the true financiers behind the anti-Muslim movie were masked with blame cast upon Egyptian Coptic right-wing activists in the United States. However, the fingerprints of Jewish-owned and operated Hollywood were all over the film’s production and distribution.

According to RT, the Russian television news network, in Russia and Ukraine, FEMEN-linked protest groups funded by Jewish benefactors, including hedge fund tycoon George Soros and the Brooklyn-born publisher of the Kyiv Post Jed Sunden, have chain sawed crosses and committed acts of hooliganism inside churches. One such gang, the feminist group FEMEN, offered $188 to anyone who cut down a cross. There were reports of crosses being chain sawed across Russia and Ukraine. The FEMEN group videotaped a large cross erected by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church being toppled in a park in Kyiv. Three female punk rockers with the group “Pussy Riot” were convicted of hooliganism for conducting an anti-Christian demonstration laced with profanity at Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. FEMEN protesters disrupted services at St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv. FEMEN activists have staged chainsaw beheadings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pope Benedict XVI, and Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill I. FEMEN activists also staged a lewd protest at the famous Hagia Sofia Mosque in Istanbul.

There has not been one documented incident of FEMEN or their colleagues targeting any Jewish institution, although they claim they are trying to emancipate women from male-dominated religious institutions. Orthodox Jewry represents one of the most misogynistic sects in the world, yet it has escaped from harassment from FEMEN and its ilk.

It is clear that Zionist Jewish money is behind the attacks on Christianity and Islam in the Holy Land and in Europe. The Zionist media has largely succeeded in driving a wedge between Christianity and Islam. However, as Christians wake up to who their real enemies are, the gulf between the followers of Jesus and Mohammad may disappear as more and more Christian leaders have grown tired of their religion being attacked by the modern Pharisees consisting of Netanyahu’s government, the illegal settlers, and Jewish financiers and media moguls.

American Church Leaders Challenge Israel and Congress

Christians Step up to the Plate to Legally and Morally Challenge Continued U.S.  Aid to Israel due to Ongoing Human Rights  and Weapons Violations

Well the church folks have gotten out if front of everybody else, including the main line veterans orgs, think tanks, political parties, and our own legal community. Hurrah for them as they struck a blow against hypocrisy and the double standard red carpet given to Israel.

No mention in the letter to Congress below about Israel’s huge weapons of mass destruction programs, stockpiles and who they might be a threat to. But VT will do that.


Our declassified Intel has substantiated that Israel always have conventional military superiority. The WMD was for offensive purposes only.


Actually we could do a pincer movement on them. Violations of nuclear proliferation also trigger a cancellation of US aid. But that little item is dismissed simply through our not acknowledging that Israeli has had these. Iran should be so lucky.

Are the Christians coming to the Rescue? – Finally?

It will be interesting to see how Congress reacts. Hearings have been called for, but the Congresscritters have honed their skills at putting on show hearings. The Lobby will provide them a special team for the great smoke and mirrors presentation to prove that Israel is on the verge of annihilation.

The WMD people might even walk out the door with more aid…such is the congressional corruption over all things Israel.

The large Presbyterian and Evangelical Lutheran denominations anchored the fifteen church leaders who signed the letter below, with the ever present Quakers, of course, bless their souls. Israel was quiet, deploying their skirmish line of Lobby groups. And what was their tactic? To play the victim of course and trot out the old cliches.

The Jewish Council for Public Affairs (this is cute) claimed that American aid to Israel was not unconditional as we had ‘shared values’ according to JCPA President Rabbi Steve Gutow. I would remind the good Rabbi that we did not use white phosphorus shells on Jewish neighborhoods here after the USS Liberty was attacked. 

And we do not do home demolitions of their dual citizens who engage in Israeli espionage here. Not one home has ever been bulldozed, not even Jonathan Pollards. Torturing Jewish children (for security reasons) has not been made legal by our Supreme Court.

Shared values? I don’t think so. And God help us if we even do as we will not deserve salvation then.

The Rabbinical Assembly whined that they were not ‘consulted’,  Hebrew for ‘we did not give you our permission to do this’. They claimed the interfaith partnerships were violated as this as all done, heaven forbid, on the eve of Shabat, hinting that only Christian devils could do such a thing.

And worse, ‘Congress was not in session and we are in the middle of a general election campaign’. Oh those evil conniving Christians and their pre-Shabat/election pogrom.

I would ask the Rabbinical authority why they have not showed us how all the Israelis got out of the twin towers alive on 911. Not one died. Will they share the trick with the rest of us, for next (or how much it costs)…for interfaith solidarity?

They even whine ‘breach of trust’ by the Christians. As I was reading I was expecting claims of a Neo-holocaust in the works, but alas they did not go that far, yet.

But the best was the American Jewish Committee who was outraged that such a move would be taken when we were all staring down the barrel of Iran’s alleged nuclear gun, but one with nothing in the chamber, and having that dark cloud hanging over the whole world.  We call his ‘hype city’ in the Intel world.

The AJC used the word ‘attack’, yes…Rabbi Noam Marans, …”Christian leaders have chosen to mount another political attack on Israel.”  And he went further.

“When religious liberty and safety of Christians across the Middle East are threatened by the repercussions of the Arab Spring, these Christian leaders have chosen to initiate a polemic against Israel, a country that protects religious freedom and expression for Christians, Muslims and others.”

Good Gosh Rabbi, when was the last time you have heard of an American priest or pastor spitting on a Rabbi, having been taught to so such at the seminary?

Have you folks sponsored legislation in Israel to make it a hate crime for Rabbis there to spit on priests? I did not think so.

And how many nukes do the Arab Spring people have, and chemical and bio-weapons, and tanks, and F-16′s? How many cruise missile armed submarines to they have, how many Congressional votes in their pocket, and espionage assets in the Pentagon and National Security Council?

Forgive me Rabbi but I don’t buy the crocodile tears. We have all seen them too many times before.  More and more Americans are deeming you militant Israeli supporters a national security threat.

Many in our Intelligence community do, also. And they are working away at tearing down the protection racket you have set up here to prevent prosecutions. America will ‘not be removed from the sands of time’ by a bunch of disloyal dual citizens with only one loyalty.

But enough of me…time for the good Christians to speak, the ones with no nukes or death squads and only vote in one country’s elections. It will be a nice change of pace.

Dear Christian Zionists, read this and weep…and may you repent your sins. The best way to do that is redirecting your tithes to taking down the monster you have been supporting with the billions in contributions you have been sending to Israel. They have been used to disenfranchise the remaining Christians there. And may God have mercy on your souls for that.

 
Dear Member of Congress,

We write to you as Christian leaders representing U.S. churches and religious organizations committed to seeking a just peace for Israelis and Palestinians. Our organizations have been deeply involved in this pursuit for decades, inspired by the call and promise of Jesus Christ who said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

In response to our Christian call to be peacemakers, we have worked for decades to support both Israelis and Palestinians in their desire to live in peace and well-being. We have worked alongside our Palestinian Christian sisters and brothers to help build a peaceful and resilient Palestinian civil society by supporting hospitals, schools, clinics, and social service agencies.

These ministries include cooperative efforts with Israelis and Palestinians as well as with Jews, Muslims, and other neighbors here in the United States. 

Through our presence in the region, and regular visits to our partners there, we see first-hand the impacts of the conflict on both Palestinians and Israelis and hear from them directly about the reality of their lives.

Through this direct experience we have witnessed the pain and suffering of Israelis as a result of Palestinian actions and of Palestinians as a result of Israeli actions. In addition to the horror and loss of life from rocket attacks from Gaza and past suicide bombings, we have witnessed the broad impact that a sense of insecurity and fear has had on Israeli society.

We have also witnessed widespread Israeli human rights violations committed against Palestinians, including killing of civilians, home demolitions and forced displacement, and restrictions on Palestinian movement, among others.

We recognize that each party—Israeli and Palestinian—bears responsibilities for its actions and we therefore continue to stand against all violence regardless of its source. Our stand against violence is complemented by our commitment to the rights of all Israelis, as well as all Palestinians, to live in peace and security.

It is this experience and these commitments that lead us to write to you today to express our grave concern about the deteriorating conditions in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories which threaten to lead the region further away from the realization of a just peace.

Unfortunately, unconditional U.S. military assistance to Israel has contributed to this deterioration, sustaining the conflict and undermining the long-term security interests of both Israelis and Palestinians. This is made clear in the most recent 2011 State Department Country Report on Human Rights Practices covering Israel and the Occupied Territories (1), which details widespread Israeli human rights violations committed against Palestinian civilians, many of which involve the misuse of U.S.-supplied weapons.

Accordingly, we urge an immediate investigation into possible violations by Israel of the U.S. Foreign Assistance Act and the U.S. Arms Export Control Act which respectively prohibit assistance to any country which engages in a consistent pattern of human rights violations and limit the use of U.S. weapons (2) to “internal security” or “legitimate self-defense.” (3) More broadly, we urge Congress to undertake careful scrutiny to ensure that our aid is not supporting actions by the government of Israel that undermine prospects for peace. We urge Congress to hold hearings to examine Israel’s compliance, and we request regular reporting on compliance and the withholding of military aid for non-compliance.

Examples of specific, systematic human rights violations related to U.S. military support are included as an annex to this letter.

In addition to specific rights violations, we see a troubling and consistent pattern of disregard by the government of Israel for U.S. policies that support a just and lasting peace. Specifically, repeated demands by the U.S. government that Israel halt all settlement activity have been ignored. Since 1967, every U.S. administration has decried Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories as obstacles to peace.

Despite this stance, Israel continues to expand its settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, claiming territory that under international law and U.S. policy should belong to a future Palestinian state. The Oslo peace process, which began in 1993, was publicly promoted as leading Israelis and Palestinians to a just peace based on a two-state solution.

Instead, since 1993, the number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, has more than doubled. Rights violations resulting from Israeli settlement activity include separate and unequal legal systems for Palestinians and settlers, confiscation of Palestinian land and natural resources for the benefit of settlers, and violence by settlers against Palestinians.

According to the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, there has been a dramatic rise in settler attacks against Palestinians this year (4). They report that these attacks are often intended to drive Palestinians from areas the settlers wish to take over, and that Israeli authorities have failed to take significant action to stop the violence or hold the perpetrators accountable. We believe that these actions directly undermine peace efforts and threaten, rather than support, Israel’s long-term security interests.

We want to be clear that we recognize that Israel faces real security threats and that it has both a right and a duty to protect both the state and its citizens. However, the measures that it uses to protect itself and its citizens, as in the case with any other nation, must conform to international humanitarian and human rights law. 

As Christian leaders in the United States, it is our moral responsibility to question the continuation of unconditional U.S. financial assistance to the government of Israel. Realizing a just and lasting peace will require this accountability, as continued U.S. military assistance to Israel — offered without conditions or accountability — will only serve to sustain the status quo and Israel’s military occupation of the Palestinian territories. 

We request, therefore, that Congress hold Israel accountable to these standards by making the disbursement of U.S. military assistance to Israel contingent on the Israeli government’s compliance with applicable U.S. laws and policies. As Israel is the single largest recipient of U.S. foreign aid since World War II, it is especially critical for Israel to comply with the specific U.S. laws that regulate the use of U.S.-supplied weapons.

We also encourage Congress to support inclusive, comprehensive, and robust regional diplomacy to secure a just and lasting peace that will benefit Israelis, Palestinians, and all the peoples of the region, and the world.

Examples of specific, systematic human rights violations related to U.S. military support:

• Killings of civilians – At least 2,969 Palestinian civilians uninvolved in hostilities were killed by the Israeli military between December 29, 2000 and December 31, 2009. This includes at least 1,128 children under the age of 18.5 Many of these deaths are connected to weaponry the U.S. underwrites.

• Suppression of legitimate political expression and protest – U.S.-supplied tear gas has been used by Israel to systematically suppress political protests and dissent in the occupied Palestinian territories. This has led to the deaths of at least 5 Palestinians and the grave injury of many others, including two U.S. citizens.

• Home demolitions and forced displacement – According to the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, approximately 24,813 Palestinian homes in the occupied Palestinian territories have been destroyed since 1967. House demolitions in the West Bank in 2011 forcibly displaced nearly 1,100 Palestinians (over half of them children) from their homes, over 80% more than in 2010, according to the United Nations (UN) Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (6). 

• Use of prohibited weaponry in densely populated civilian areas – Israel has used both white phosphorus and flechette shells in Gaza and Lebanon in violation of international humanitarian law. During operation cast lead white phosphorus shells were fired against civilian targets including a UN compound, two hospitals, and private residences causing civilian deaths and injuries. Flechette shells have also been used repeatedly in Gaza since 2001, causing significant civilian deaths and casualties (7). 

• Restricting Palestinian movement – Israeli-only roads and more than 500 roadblocks and checkpoints carve up the West Bank, making travel for Palestinians arduously slow or impossible (8). The Wall constructed by Israel in the West Bank deviates considerably from the 1967 lines, confiscating occupied Palestinian territory and water in the process, and severely restricting Palestinian movement. Since 2007 Israel has also maintained a comprehensive blockade on Gaza, restricting not only the movement of Palestinians into and out of Gaza, but also restricting the import and export of goods. The UN and International Committee of the Red Cross have both concluded that this blockade amounts to collective punishment (9), in contravention of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
