With joy and tears Jerusalem received the freed captives

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, With the Palestinian flag and the green flags of Hamas Palestinians living in Jerusalem received the captives who were freed from occupation jails on Tuesday, in the prisoner exchange deal between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation.

As soon as the news of the release of the captives were made, the minarets of the Aqsa Mosque and other mosques in the holy city sounded with chants of Allahu Akbar to rejoice at the captives’ freedom.

The families of the two female captives Sana’ Shehada and Ibtisam al-Isawi held a reception party which lasted till the morning. The mother of Shehada said it was the happiest day in her life.

Forty six Jerusalem residents were freed from occupation captivity according to the deal, 17 of them were exiled to Gaza, and 13 abroad, while 16 of them returned to Jerusalem.

Families of the freed captives expressed their delight at their release. Amongst those families is the family of blind captive Ala’ al-bazian, who insisted in praying at the al-Aqsa Mosque before going home. He expressed delight at his release and hoped that the rest of the captives will be freed soon.
